First Aid for Bikers – 2 day

First Aid for Mountain Biking

This is a 16 hour Outdoor First Aid course specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of cycling and will cover the requirements to be able to undertake the role of the First Aider when in rural and the more remote regions of the UK where emergency medical assistance may be more than 30 minutes away.

The learner will gain the first aid skills and knowledge to provide first aid competently and confidently in an outdoor remote environment. This course is specifically delivered with cyclists in mind and will focus on the medium of cycling within the above context.

EQUIPMENT

For every session, participants must wear a suitable helmet and protective equipment whilst riding. Please pack enough food and water for the day, plus more for emergencies. Weather is changeable, so pack enough warm, waterproof and breathable layers to see you through the day. There will be parts of the day where you are static.  If you are unsure of exactly what to bring just ask.

You will require a bike in full working order. Bike hire is also available from our partners, so please do not hesitate to ask.
